engine clean and colour

right im rebuiding my engine its bit dirty so wat the best way to get it lookin fresh
and im thinkin of paintin the engine im thinkin red engine .white bore.red flywheel cover .white flywheel.n wanna paint rollin nut cover and the air scope
or
black engine white or red bore here my bike

When I do my engine, it's getting totally split then powdercoated but some people use like hammerite spray etc, gotta prep it well. Maybe someone who has done it before and it has lasted till now will have some advice. I'd hate to of not prep'd it right for it to start flaking etc.
