right, just stuck a diff engine in my scoot, another standard one, diff carb etc straight from another scooter. it is so muich better than the other, but just need a bit of help wit tranny setup. i havnt yet opened the tranny up, but basically its revving the bollocks off it. it will accelerate really well, then at 25 it unleashes another load of power upto 45 clock speed but then no more. but with the other engine it would take forever to get to 55, but it got there. just wodering isit the rollers being soo light that they cant get to highest gear? or belt slipping??
never mind, rollers were pretty worn, so i changed them to some new 5.0s and changed belt as i had a new one. and took the washer off the variator, explains the speed thing all seems good now, might stiffen clutch springs a tad though
