Pretty sure they're only used for sprinting.

Probably cos the motors would burn out after a few hours and i think they aint cheap either...

The only advantage i can see from having an electric water pump would be that on a hot day in traffic where your constantly stop and go it would keep the engine alot cooler, apart from that it's just another thing to go wrong, and it'll be too late by the time you realized it's gone wrong.

aint the pump turned by the engine though so ud have more power if the pump ran on electric rather than the crank?

an electric water pump is defo better than the one in the enigne it keeps it cooler although im not sure how but it is also less weight on the crank, as the crank doesnt have to spin the water pump anymore, its just the same as goin premix, so the crank is spinning faster and its more responsive :p ( i could be wrong tho )

theory is good, but what happens when the fuse goes becuse of something trivial??

not good for on the road, and at tickover any LC or AC bike shouldn't overheat.
