i ahve an nrg power dd disc brake 61 plate the i have now rebuilt for my grandson. the scooter was partly stripped when i bought it and i have now rebuilt the engine (main bearing broke up). my problem is there are 2 wireing plugs next to the carb i know on is the choke but i can not find a connection for the other one that has a blue and red wire going to it. the bike starts and runs fine and there are no bad lights on the dash so is this a spare connection or has someone removed the part it should plug in to. the exhaust is not stock by the way. does any one know were this wire should go if anywere. thanks david
Hello david and welcome to the scooter shack. they plug you have left over is from the carb heater/ controller , i would say its possible your carb has been replaced and there is not heater device fitted to your current installed carb, so you have a carb heater controller plug thats not in use any more, wrap a bit of electrical tape ove rthe plug so water cant get in and and tuck it out of the way with a ziptie . Most scooters these days have been fitted out with a sports exhaust , i also notice your running a dello carb so its nodoubt been upjetted to the pipe. you may want to run the bike yourself first just to see if she has the pep from pull away and is running upto around 45mph (maybe more on some scoots) Not sure if this is of any help but the link below is to the full service manual for the NRG power manual ( also included are the wire schematics) its worth printing out and keeping with the scoot for later when you may stumble into repairs and pre mot checking https://scootergrisen.dk/scooterhjemmeside/download/piaggio_nrg_power_dt_servicemanual.pdf
