Electrical issue from 50cc loom to 125cc batt not charging now

    Rite I originally had a 50cc engine loom etc in my scoot now there has been a typhoon 125 engine installed since I've had it fitted the battery isn't getting charged and I'm losing all the power etc lights , indicators , electric start would this be down to not using the 125 cc regulator ? As still running stock 50cc one ?
