    Hi guys

When I first purchased my LX50 the bike started however it took a few turns to get it started. It turned but wouldn't start all the time. The guy that's sold it to me showed me why. See pics below.

The cog/metal thing you see in the pic turns or engages when you press the ignition, but sometimes it got stuck. He greased it and it worked perfectly for a couple of months until tonight, where the bike turned and made that weird whirring noise but it didn't engage and start.

Can I spray a bit of wd40 at that thing in the picture??

    Thanks! image_85492.jpg

    I wouldn't use wd40.

    How's the battery?

My LX was making the weird whirring noise and not starting. Battery was at 11.3v, not enough to fire her up. Once charged-up overnight, it's all good again.

I had a mechanic friend test the battery and it was sitting at 12.5v and the scooter has run perfectly for 2 months. Didn't do it again this morning, just strange!!
