Why on earth would you want to?

The newer Peuguots (sic) run electric oil pumps as well and I think it`s a stupid idea, they are non-adjustable so you cant increase the oil flow when you go to a bigger bore or to compensate for a higher state of tune, they prime from the battery so if you have a flat bettery you don`t get adequate oil on initial start-up and if you have any kind of electrical fault relating to this system then bang goes your engine due to lack of oil.
Even if you wanted to a 50cc non-adjustable oil pump will not flow adequately for a 125.

If you want to ditch the manual pump go to pre-mix.

I belive the ECU (injection), controls the amount of oil flowing thru the pump? Therefore you may need to have somebody tune the ECU to allow more oil flow.

    I could be totally wrong.

    And what will that do?

He`s talking about fitting a di-tech electric oil pump to a Runner 125 NOT tuning a 50 :eh:

Oh Right I didnt read it properly lol but yeh that sounds a little pointless, wouldent it be much less hassle to just run pre-mix if your engines pump cant keep up?

Theres a couple of hassle free ways of pre-mixing, the way I do it is by pulling up at petrol station with very little fuel in the tank, measure up the required amount of oil (carry a little jug to measure), then pour that oil into the fuel tank. Then fill up, the petrol pump has enough power to mix it up in the tank as you re-fill.

Another way, if you can fit a jerry can under your seat and mix up with that. But thats hassle and I think illegal to carry petrol with you.

    Good luck anyways!

erm, illegal to carry fuel? so your bike runs on hopes and wishes does it? if a jerry can fits under your seat theres fuck all illegala bout carrying it, its called a "safe contanier" meaning, its safe to carry in a vehicle. cant just strap it to your bike mind.

but ye, premix is simple, work out how much fuel your bike takes, add 10%, work out the oil ammount, use a persil messuring jug and voiala, only takes an extra 30 seconds at the pump and unline a pump you KNOW theres oil in the fuel/air/engine... not just random bits spat across the reedblock.

Really minor? I honistly thought that carrying a Full can of petrol is illegal in a car or bike, I thought you can carry them empty legally, then walk to a filling station when you run out.

Learn a new thing everyday :D

your miss informed.. as of 28008 its ILLEGAL for you to run out of fuel.. there is NO reason for you to do so and it is a dangerous scenario.... hence its now frownd upon/a finable offence..

think about it, your a hazzard to motorists JUST because you wanted to wait a little while to fill up/thought you had enough/have a car you cant afford the petrol for.

its is advised that you ALWAYS carry a bit of spare fuel. why else would you carry a jerry can?!?!
