I seem to be running out of fuel at full throttle ever since I put a 70cc kit on. I'm guessing my vacuum pump just can't keep up with the need for more gas. Does anyone know what the PSI needs of a scooter carb is. Or more specifically a Dellorto 19mm. I have a Facet electric pump lying around I'm planning on using that. It's a 3-4.5 PSI 30 gallon/hour. Anyone have any information, ideas or comments. Would be glad for any information.
im running a stage 6 racing kit with a 24mm carb, which would rev a lot harder and consume a lot more fuel than standard, and i dont seem to have any fuel supply problems :glare: you dont say what type of scooter you have, but if its not the same pump as a gilera runner, maybe it might be worth trying one on your scooter....which would be better than a car pump which would overwhelm your scooter engine...
Thank you for your advise Capri Dave. I'm going to get a higher volume vacuum pump as you suggested. Mikuni DF-44. It should fit the original mounting holes and fuel lines. Couldn't really find a good mounting place for the electric one anyway without it bunping into something.
I would suggest that you need to tune your carb, you shouldnt be getting fuel delivery problems with the setup in your sig. Most probably just wants either upjetting or downjetting slightly.
