Alright guys. My bike needs an M.O.T in about a week - 2 weeks but I was just wondering whether it will pass on my exhaust. It's a 'Big One', made by Yasuni, but it's not E-marked... Will it fail the M.O.T on this? There is nothing wrong with the exhaust, no cracks or anything and it's pretty quiet. The next thing I want is to have to change it for a different one just for the M.O.T! Oh and what about squeeky brakes... the pads are fine and the disc is alright, could they fail it on just the squeeking? Cheers Tom.
exhaust is down to the examiners discretion, as for pads, depeneding on the life left on them, if theres life then no it wont fail they'll advise you to use brake pad paste, if they are worn its down to the examiners discretion
1. yes it could fail on the pipe if it's excessivly loud, 2. the brakes are only failed if it won't hold it's self on a 45 degree slope.
Haha, Oh well, it seems like a pretty quality exhaust so far though, but like neosman said it says it on the description on SIP, thats what made me think it. And you wouldnt exactly doubt a scooter website... But anyway cheers for the replies.
The description on SIP doesn't say they are made by Yasuni. It says they were given a revamp by Yasuni. Implying that they got Yasuni in to sort them out. They are low quality pretty much standard replacements. You get what you pay for. Yasuni are Spanish and Big One are Italian.
Ok fair enough, but that's not always true... ZX's cost a fair bit and they seem to get slated. Much like a boost bottle, pointless and fairly expensive... Well I needed a pipe and that one fitted the bill. Plus, the quality of it seems fine even if its not made by Yasuni, they can't have not made it better. I see what you're saying though.
i put the standard exhaust on my aerox, raced a 03 plate rox with a leo vince tt exhaust and i dicked him on a dual carriageway lol... they make ya bike slower arc:
