hi done a search and couldent find any info on this so was wondering if anyone has done this or knows were i could view some dyno graphs comparing the 4 or 5 most common exhausts for a 172/180 ie pm 59 scorpion mhr standard jolly moto ? would be good to see the differences in the power curve not so much the bhp but when and were it makes the power also how smooth it is as dont want something to drop power all of a sudden especially if you aint got gears ahah cheers steve
only comparisens i know of were done on a stock 125 engine... this was obviously in tag and the results are posted on here. unless you pay somebody to do the dyno work its not worth doing for anyone... so unless you fancy buying all of the above pipes and paying out for the dyno time its just not gonna pop up. no point. its a shame tag didnt do the same test to a 172 as your looking at a solid 5bhp give or take on any dyno with the stock pipe, supprisingly some of the poorerquality pipes out there will not give the same results.. this is the real info people would want to know. even then there was no roller correction that i know.... its been years since i looked at it. ether way no there isnt really this info, you may find one or two dyno graphs on the euro sites but theres too many variables to take into account (ie cylinder, head, squish, carb, transmission componant, dyno used) plus, its a waste of time knowing how a bike go's on a dyno, its how it go's on a road and theres only one way to find that out. the scorp is the only one on the list i wouldent use.. the others are prittymuch the same once setup right, stock wont rev out like the other 3 and all 3 have pro's and cons... power delivery will be pritty similar really with the 3 other pipes... go buy one, bolt it on and see if you like it... this is the best way to find out what pipe YOU should spend YOUR money on
ahh thats were ive seen it forgive me ive been out the scooter scene a wile ive had them all my favorite was pm59 for performance around mid range i remember a kick scorpion was always on a 125 i had and stock war never on for very long lol cheers steve
its pointless... showing how a pipe works on a 125 shows you fuck all about what it will do on a 172... there a passive kit (as in, bolt on, bigger boire same timings) wich means you get your bolt on performance boost of easy 5bhp with the stock pipe... but the other pipes might work beter on a 125 than they do on a 172... some will give massive gains when used with a 172, some will give massive losses... end of the day, this is just ANOTHER "what 125 pipe is the best" topic.... yawn
