Hello, after riding home the other day, I lost drive completely. After removing my engine case, I noticed my belt had snapped. I HAD a 'Malossi Kevlar Belt' I ordered the same belt again, only to find it wasn't in stock so they sent what they claimed to be the same 'Polini Kevlar Belt.' After installing, the bike is painstakingly slow - especially uphill. From my understanding kevlar belts need a 'run in' for 100miles. The new Polini kev belt is thicker than my malossi, meaning it sits higher in the clutch etc etc. After this 100mile (ish) wear in, will it go back to normal? Please note, my rollers are a bit shabby, but new ones are in the post. Thanks for your time, Alex
i couldnt really tell a difference when i first installed mine, think i fucked something else up though so the bike hasnt been performing well since maybe 150 miles of riding with it in. could you let me know if yours was better or worse after 100?
the new belt will be thicker because the old belts been worn and the rollers being shabby are most probably the reason its not performing well
