Hi is it possible to 'drill a jet out' when I purchased my exhaust and jets he said I was stupid for buying new jets as he could of drilled my old one out. Is this possible because now I need a higher jet and they don't have the jet on Scooter-Center only the 70s kit.

    Very Annoying :rtfm:

in your carb is the best place to look.

keep meaning to get an autodata book for this kind of info.

Yeah I know that mate and no need for the sarcastic post.

I'm not very experienced with bikes and so im getting all the work done professionaly therefore not touching any of it untill all the parts are fitted, thats why I need to know so I can order the right jet size.

Everyone has to start somewhere.... Get yourself a Haynes manual, and have a flick through, you'd be surprised how easy most stuff is, especially changing jets etc, you could save the money paying a mechanic to do that and spend it on other parts etc

My mate is a mechanic and therefore I will just give him a small amount for fitting all my parts for me and there is quite a bit to do so I don't want to do it myself.

Where can i get one of these manuals anyway?

didn't mean to be sarcastic, just it's the easiest way to tell as standard jetting dosn't always seem to follow.

If your carb is 17.5mm your standard jet will be a 56 mate ;)

good answer haugh, but be careful incase you drill to much and you want to jet down i.e running to rich, if I were you buy a set of stage 6 jets, same price really and quicker and less fiddly
