i dnt know how to fix it but when it floods take out the spark plug and start kicking down the kickstart as if you was starting it and it will get out all the petrol
Thanks for that May well come in handy Its got a 70 kit fitted, a 21mm Carb (i think), if thats of any help?
I got the bike as a present from the parents, they got it of eBay, the 70kit was fitted prior to me getting it. So im not sure, ill get my Dad to have a look at it though, see if it was Up-Jetted Cheers
floods when? when its been sitting allnight? or when your trying to kick it over to start it? or while its running, cuts out and wont restart?
Um, i would see a mixture of all three of them to be honest. Quite often, it till run, for, lets say 5 seconds, then cut out, then wont start again.
Well, after i take the Spark Plug out, its very wet with fuel, after a clean. It starts fine. So, yes, as sure as i can be
I doubt you would be over fueling the engine Probably its just your carb not set up right. take the float bowl off (bottom of carb) and see what main and pilot jet sizes you have in there. Also your choke could be stuck on, 'flooding' your engine..
It could be a slight split in the float??? Just a guess and it could be worth checking also it worth cleaning the carb while you're there
I will have a good look around it one night this week I wont be on the road with it, till Friday. Got suspended from school, so not in the best books with the parents Thanks for all the help (Y) Appreciated
check fuel tap, float, idle mix, needle setting and then jet.. transmission can cause similar symptoms if not setup right along with completly shit jetting (usually the case with 70's be it homer or shop fitment) even dealers are NOT tuners so are prittymuch clueless
