Ok so most might think this is odd. But I’m in my late 40’s and feel my LX50 is too loud. So the current set up which works perfectly is Vespa LX50 Motoforce 70cc cylinder/head Polini variator and contra spring Jasil clutch springs Stock carb at 71 main jet Stage6 2 stage filter 4.7g MALOSSI rollers Malossi Flip exhaust It pulls fantastic, and is great in every aspect EXCEPT the noise. So I also have a Stage6 street exhaust. I bought this as was advised yes it will reduce performance a bit but will be quite in comparison to my current Malossi. So after a trial fit, it started up and idled perfectly just like normal. It was quite and deeper so with the scooter on the stand was very happy. But the moment the scoot is under load, be it me stood beside it and walking it while twisting the throttle it just goes very low revving (bogging I guess) and has no strength barely enough to pull its own weight. With me on it it doesn’t move, just goes into a deep low cycle. Do I need to either adjust my roller weights, guessing lighter much lighter or is it possible I need to re jet too?? Cheers Bill
I tried this at the weekend, up to a 72 was worse, down to 68 better but still awful, 66 worse. I doubt starting from a 71 that a 69 or 70 would be that sweet spot as it’s so low revving and under powered. Anyway scrapped the idea and popped the Malossi back on. So if anyone wants an as new Stage6 Street exhaust that fits all Piaggio/Gilera 2t 50cc engines I got one for sale...this one http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/1158/stage6-street-exhaust--piaggio
