Okay, so i got a S3R, and there is a little metal plate in the silencer, i have drawn a picture tto snow what i mean, what does this do if removed/kept in? Someone told me its the baffle, and it makes no difference?
rip it out... the diameter of the bent bit of metal is the diameter the tube through the end can SHOULD be, this is a restriction.
Okay thanks, however it did have a cone in the Downpipe what is out, so this pipe has two restrictions? Interesting, Well the garage is jtting it, so once its all back and that, ill rip it out, or will i need more jets if i do so
nver let a "garage" jet your bike.. mechanics know fuck all about tunning/setting up high strung 2 stroke engines... it will need further ajustment of the jet and more importantly the rollers once its back from the "garage" but ye, if it is what i think it is (and what i think your describing) then it is a second restrictor.. they are often found in exhaust cans, didnt think the s3r came wiht one but hey ho it is a road legal pipe supposedly so makes sence. best bet is once you have it back get another picture of it... take a pic of the back end of the can (once removed) and the part of the exhaust the 3 bolts go through... ill try explain it a little easier once you have pics up
Sorry for the confusion, My bad. The bike isn't in the garage at the minute, it's downstairs in my garage :yahoo: I would get the end can off and show you, but it was a pain to get it off in the first place, so ill try again if you really need to too, Its a metal plate, with a rod, and three holes, it goes into the silencer/endcan, making the silencer/endcan hole smaller (so i can see) ill try and find a picture of the internet. The garage that will be jetting it is a Piaggio Dealer, he sells tuning parts and fits them etc, So i guess its my best bet, If he fucks it up, all pressure is on him, not me. So i guess thats the reason im going to garage, and the fact that i don't know what i'm doing, I simply ride it :hello: I'll try finding a photo on Google, if not ill get a proper photo of my pipe etc. Thanks
