Okay then, i ordered some 5.3gr rollers last night, they came this morning, well chuffed!!!

RIght, i fitted the pipe, fitted the rollers and went out for a ride, the bike had very little acceleration then hit a power band and flew to 40, with a big grin on my face i carried on riding

The bike then started to slow down, then wouldnt pull away at all,. wouldnt go past 10mph, god knows what this was?

Will i need to Upjet a little or do i need some lighter rollers?

    Thankyee.

    P.S

    Bike: Piaggio NRG Extreme 2003
    A/C

    Pipe: Doppler S3R

    Rollers: Polini 5.3gr 19*15.5

Try lighter rollers maybe 4.5g or so. Also need tighter clutch springs and yes upjet to around 60-65.

get 2 more sets if you can.. like 5g and 4g, then if the 5gs are too heavy and the 4gs are too light then you can use 3 of each and make some 4.5s, or use some of the 5.3s or something, but 2 more sets should give you enough different weights to get it right :)

clutch spring set and a box of jets... you want from 60 up to the 80's jet wise (6mm dellorto jets) and the malossi/polini 3 pack of springs.

How much are Springs? and how do you fit them? do you need to adjust them or are the pre adjusted?

EDIT: Found them on tinternet, they're about a tenner, but does the clutch need adjusting after they are done? how they fitted etc?

you just remove the old ones and put them in... they are very stiff though so might wanna buy a spring puller tool or have some GOOD long nose pliers there..

    Sorry for late reply mate!

    Sadly i haven't.

I've got a little stressed and confused with it now

I'm gonna wait til' i got some more money and chuck in into a garage and buy a Leo Vince TT. Tell them to fit Clutch Springs, rollers correct jets etc as i haven't the slightest clue of what i'm doing, and don't wanna fook my bike right up

If i was you, do the same, as it will end in tears

I think I have found the solution - to my problem anyway, yours may differ slightly. I've had my dad's mate who is a qualified mechanic look at my ped and he seems to know his stuff. He thinks its a fuel related problem.

Basically my ped has been stood for well over a year by the previous owner. It still has the original fuel in from over a year ago, I.E The ped was not drained of fuel before it was put into storage - fuel has probably gone off/bad. I'm going to drain my tank and clean out my carb this week and see if this cures it. I'll report any change later in the week. If yours has been stood for any length of time I would advise you to do the same. Hope you get it sorted mate.
