It's always best to check the obvious things... Bought a little 2005 Peugeot Ludix a couple of weeks ago and it's a great little toy. I've removed the restriction (swopped the original variator for an SV-1 sporty thing and it now does 45MPH comfortably and keeps up with the traffic around town). But after I left it for a couple of days it wouldn't start... Put a new spark plug in and made sure it had a spark. I had a recent receipt from the previous owner from "RP Motorcycles" in Berkhamsted for £155... They had apparently replaced the fuel diaphram pump and cleaned the carb/fuel system and I assumed fuel was getting through as I could see fuel in the fuel filter... I finally decided to check it out and found that some muppet had fitted the fuel filter back to front (in spite of the fact that there is a great big arrow on it showing which way it should go!!!). It's a happy little scooter again now... Last time I assume something has been sorted just because it's been to a garage!
If its a bike garage, they rarely take any care over scooters, and charge an arm and a leg, because teenagers will pay for it.
