allright peeps  , iv got a nrg project using a gilera runner 125 engine, and im finding it hard to find a engine mount/swingarm, does any1 know if a 125 runner mount/swingarm will fit in a nrg frame?? thanks.
allright m8, yh i could do that, but thats if i had the nrg mount with equal off sets, but unfortunatly iv got the one that makes the engine sit to the right :banghead: . i was looking at my mates runner today, and i think the 125 runner mount should fit, but im not exactly sure lol. thanks.
can u see how the main bar on the mount has more clearance on the right side, this is the reason that the engine sits the the right when the mount is turnt upside down, and if it isnt turnt upside down the bore will smack off my frame when riding. i need a newer nrg mount which is totally equal each end, so it wil centre the engine, plus with the newer ones it doesnt matter what way u put it in the frame the engine will sit bang in the cantre. thanks.
loool they dont whack the frames and im a big guy they do a tad with a 50 shock but use a 125 one or uprated. unless your using a l/c lump i has little problem on a runner frame which i bent a tad to fix it so you could just cut part of the nrg frame for clearance or just fit idealy a malossi shock nice and stiff
that engine mount si fine, the engine's ALL mount offset! the 125 fits BUT theres no silent block mount so the lkot just flop's about (LOL to anyone who has tried and RIDDEN like this LOLOL) dont do it.. just grind it down, yes theres more to do one side than the other but its a case of try it and if its wrong grind further and add a washer one side.. if i remember correclty you leave 1mm on the shortest side then cut it so it is about half a mm (like literally a tiny bit) too big then pry the bush over it (screwdriver through the other side, pull it towards the back of the engine) and it will sit nice an snug. make sure you cut it VBERRY flat (ur cut one side long then file both to length with a BIG file (2 ft long sort of size LOL) and it will all be lush. the engine does strike the frame but its only the bleed nipple, you can just replace this with a bolt and ruber washer so it is shorter and bend the area of the frame slightly so it doesent strike at full suspention travel.. if its an nrg frame the shock is longer than a typh shock so you need to fit a riser really.. if its a typh frame just fit an nrg shock
allright minor, thanks for replying. yep im using a nrg frame, plus iv got a tnt jack-up/raiser and ill be using a 125 gilera shock, plus i just looked and the frame seems to be dented allready in that area were it would hit, previous owner must of been going through the same problem lol, u reckon thiss will be ok???
dont use the jack up the front of the engine will be higher with that chance is it will be ok as it is put yourself some poly bushes on (from shiny red) should be good then. oh and i will never use a 50 shock on a 125 convesion again i found it way too soft etc malossi rs24 transformed the handleing you can get other performance shocks for verry little nowerdays
sorry nrgandy that didnt make sense to me lool cratch: basically your saying the dont use the jackup without some poly bushes from shiny am i wong?? what outcome will i get if my engines sitting higher at the front?? thanks, carl.
