thats what i tourt but it is defo coming from there a mechanic at work sugested that it could be running from the block you take the belt casing of and to the left at the bottom there is a cog/gear wich the kickstart shaft attaches to and it is coming from around there the bike does start and ride but i wouldnt dare run it for long

ah yeah, could be a waterpump seal, i forgot that the piaggio/gilera engines ave the waterpump behind the oil belt.

should see a weep from under the variator.

well yea i think it is the variator im going to halfors after work to buy a haynes manual so ill no more and be able to discribe it better then is the variator the samller cog which the belt goes round coz its on the left of the belt comin from behind/ under the smaller cog thing

yeah, roughly, the water isnt coming from there, its coming from the bottom pulley of a smaller belt which sits behind this. i think anyway, can't reallt tell for sure without looking.

ye your right wobbely.. needs a waterpump seal and new pump as the shaft is now rusted and the bearings are useless. full strip and rebuild of the engine if you want it done properly.

this links to your tuning post, get the mains and crank done at the same time, i'm afraid its a complete rebuild but you can build it into one fast bike
