DNA trouble again

    it was basicly running fine, yes as per my previouse posts it tops out at 63 which doesnt really bother me as all the roads round me are 50 and under, anyway it would get to 60 then feel like i was pulling the brake on and off it didnt really bother me as it was up at the speed i hardly ever use, but i parked the scoot up and havent touched it for a week, went out it fired up 1st time i left it warming up while i got my helmet all seemed fine went to use it and it will only do 40 flat out and its the same again like im pulling the brake on and off, i thort it was the belt or clutch slipping but the revs dont rise when its doing it, the revs seem to drop like when your slowing down.
    engine sounds really nice no odd noises or anything.
    should i rule out the clutch and belt????
    the belt is an almost new malossi cevlar belt.

    no 1 have any ideas then?????:( well i started it this morning and it fired up 1st time again sounds nice ticks over fine but once up to 20mph it starts jerking and holding back, its not like clutch or belt slip, going to the inlaws for a few days for the new year so when i get back im going to take it to bits and see what i can find.

    that has been sugested but there brand new, saying that i have only done about 10 miles on them before the trouble started.
    going away for a few days but will check them when i get back.

    well the weather was good enough today for me to look at my scoot, there was a smashed washer in the variator i replaced it and the scoot is alot better it will do a decant speed again BUT there is still a problem,
    i can use full throttle up to 20mph is then it bogs down to the point it sounds like its going to cut out, i can only use half frottle any more and it is like pulling the brakes on.
    does that sound like a fuel/mixture problem?????????

    This scoot is doing my head in now, been to 3 different places today all 2 said you DO NOT have up upjet a 125 4 stroke until you fit a 210 kit 1 place said its very very rare you have to upjet them, 1 place said my problems were due to the scorpion exhaust as there crap, he then tryed very hard to sell me a £320 standard exhaust.
    all 3 places said they couldnt get and bigger jets as no 1 does them because of not needing to upjet.

    so if i dont need to upjet what the hell is wrong with the pile of crap, its now sat on my drive in bits as i decided to take the inlet off as it looked cracked and i was told to check for air leaks as that would cause it to bog down, i gave up after i broke 2 torque bits:( never ever again will i own a 4 stroke, there not looked after and then along comes some 1 that actualy cares about it and they get all the trouble.

    sounds like needing an up jet to me bud but try lift the pin a notch in the carb first :)

    i've been all over no 1 can get a bigger jet for a 4 stroke they all say 4 strokes do not need to be upjetted 1 place did go out of there way to help me ringing all there supliers they even gave me a web site to try, but the only jets i found on there are for delerto.
    i've taken the carb apart to make sure the jets arent blocked i've cleaned it all, got inlet manifold off to check for cracks, going to put it all back together change the rollers back to the old 1s to see if that does anything. gota wait until the wifes back from work tho as i need the car to go get a new torx bit as i snapped mine getting the inlet off:(

    ohh never good ey, well if it doesnt sort it lift the pin a notch in the carb bud

    BUGGER!!!!!! looks like its the headgasket, had a play with it and had put it back together i was running it without the air filter on and noticed from the breather pipe it was spitting water, never thort of head gasket as there was no symptoms it didnt over heat and didnt apear to be loosing water, ah well never mind.

    ok nice, easy enough then, iv just done mine on my vectra gsi so imsure one cylinder is easier than 6 lol

    lol not really cars you lean in and take bits off, its a ball ache having to take engine out, im not having any luck with headgaskets my xr4x4 has been off the road since last august with 1 of the headgaskets gone i just cant get motivated to do it, i hate working outside in the cold:( i'll get round to sorting the scoot when i have time, just glad i figure out what was wrong with it, cant belive 3 so called scooter specialists didnt sugest it, supose its a hard thing to diagnose when there not actualy looking at the scoot.
