    Hellllooooo everyone once again :punk:

Since joining this forum i have found out quite a bit about my bike lol. And since you guys helped me to find out if the variator was restricted or not i have bought a leo vince zx exhaust from rideorcolide on here (just waiting for him to post it)

I know that i will need to upgrade my rollers but unsure on the weight to get, i have been told to buy a few packs but im looking at getting malossi or poloni rollers and at £10 a pop, i dont want to be buying several sets so...

I have a gilera dna 50, leo vince zx exhaust will be getting fitted and if my weight comes into it im 11 stone....anyone around the same weight as me or similar bike upgraded theirs?

Also what size jet should i be looking at upgrading to? I have had a look at jets and have found a nice set (http://www.donotlink-pedstop.co.uk/p/DELLORTO-6MM-JET-PACK---CONTAI-2068.aspx) and as you can see this set contains alot of sizes so again, anyone that has upgraded on similar bikes, what sizes have you gone upto?

And my last one, spring sets for the clutch, i have found a nice set of malossi racing springs (http://www.donotlink-pedstop.co.uk/p/MALOSSI-RACING-SPRING-SET-FOR--1801.aspx) will these be good enough? I dont want to be pulling off at 5k rpm lol...

So this is going to be my next upgrade and i will be buying tommorow, so all advice welcome!!!

    Cheers all :w00t:

    hope this helps

    cheers matey!

5.5gram rollers, did you change the size of your jet? springs?

whats the rpm of your bike when it pulls off?

    thanks

well personally i would only get jets if i got a racing air filter and ive got standard springs

wen i had 5.5s it pulled away about 4500 rpm

cool, i have been told that when upgrading to an aftermarket exhaust i have got to get a bigger jet or it wont run to its full potential...is this true?

and from what i think i know about the springs lol....the stronger the spring, the lower pulling off rmp and the weaker the springs, the higher the pulling off rpm...

my bike currently sits off at 1.8k rpm in idle and pulls off at around 4 to 4.5krpm, if i was to buy springs and get it to pull off at around 2.5 to 3krpm, would this affect my top end in anyway?

cheers for the feedback by the way matey

if u did change your jets with the exhaust it will run better
i think harder springs get your bike to pull away alot better
and more rpm doesnt mean more speed. clutchs, springs etc jus make the bike accelerate faster n stuff, its its power and speed u want then 70 kits, bigger carbs, and racing exhausts are the things u want. so if u bought the springs then ur bike will pull off sharper.

cheers matey lol, the 70 kit and carb would be the next thing for my bike but that will be in about 2 months...im just trying to get the best out of my bike for now because its doin around 25 mile to work and then back again...

standard weights on my zip with tt pipe were 5.3 gram and the stiffer the springs, the higher the rpm. You want springs matched to the pipe to get it into the powerband almost instantly or it will bog down (email leo vince on their recommendations, they may be able to sort you out with rollers/springs)

yellow malossi springs are usually fine for a leo... dont even ask leo about roller weights.. i cant tell you for your exact spec, nobody can really. they give you rollers that work wiht the pipe on a stock bike.. no mods, wiht the restrictions in place so VERRY wrong in most cases.

    trial and error is key

jets are easy. screwdriver (both flat and phillips/posi) dont have to take anything off the carb, just pop the airbox pipe of, loosen the manifold screw and turn the carb in the manifold.. if you turn the botom of the carb outwards to the right you can get to the float bowl, this has 2 screws usually holding it in place, remove these, remove the float bowl (PAY ATTENTION HOW THINGS GO IN WHEN YOU TAKE IT OFF) then unscrew the jet and insert another one.. ive done this on the side of the road wiht nothing more than the lid of a stella can (broke down, blocked jet, no tools) only thing to watch for is the float as it has a pin that holds it in place that loves sliding out when you remove the bowl so again just look at how its all in as soon as you whip the bottom off.
