Has anyone ever made a variator locking tool or knows any tricks on how to hold the bugger still on a 300 MP3? Delivery of the tool is over a week away and i need to get the belt changed out this weekend.
    Thanks

I know it's not a 300 but it may help and there are loads of other vids too. Just a question of searching. (Mine's a pint please )

Pop up to machine mart and buy an electric impact gun?
You might moan about the cost, but they are an extremely useful thing in the toolbox

As Stevep say's, rattle gun to remove nut ONLY, I've made loads of holding tools for various scooters. ALWAYS use torque wrench to tighten.
If your near to Leicester you can borrow mine !

I have a 3/8 drive impact driver that I use to put them back on, lower torque values, ideal
