I made a diy air filter last year in a pinch out of the old plastic case for the filter and a henry HEPA hoover bag I cut to fit the filter case. I completely forgot about it until now and it seems to have worked amazingly well as its covered in dirt and dust but the inside is completely clean. Anyone else made a diy air filter? What did you make it from?

Not me but I'm going to have to remember that, I think that's brilliantly inventive.

Yeah actually I sort of did on my 190cc cub, but it was too restrictive.
I did on my tomos for a while too.
An airbox is your best bet though.
    What bike was it?

You see here how little room there is for a filter

Yeah that is tight! The cub is a lawnmower? I love that tomos classic xl 45. Reminds me of something similar we had in France when I was a kid :)

On the tomos do you have to add the oil to the petrol tank?

It has an airbox and the filter goes inside it but I didn't have a replacement on hand so I cut out the old filter from the filters plastic case and super glued the cut/shaped hoover bag inside it and forgot about it. Never had to change the fuel air mixture either it just worked.

    Yeah.
Although it had an oil tank when I bought it, but no oil pump.
From what I read the tomos oil pumps are tragically bad and the dealership usually remove them.
