Hello, have you got timing markers? If your existing cdi was limiting rpm so that it is not getting the max out of the power curve for your engine then a race cdi would show an improvement, but you're stock ignition is already unlimited. It's often assumed that a race cdi will make the bike go faster, but its a more complicated and you need to understand the engine power curve and the bikes gearing etc. Having said that more is often better.

Ok so the stock ignition with the right timing is enough good to make power at top end

    Btw thanks for the reply

I guess so but with race ignition you would probably get even more. Someone else will clarify that better as I've never had race ignition fitted before personally.

You're welcome! I'm sure other members will read this and offer you advise re the race ignition and cylinder timing etc.

The stock Honda cdi has a limit at 9k rpm if i recall correct.
An aftermarket CDI will have a more aggressive ignition advance curve.
I mean you can run an aftermarket ignition rotor etc, but the power gain is going to be pretty small.

Thanks for the reply in not planning to buy an aftermarket rotor because is a little bit expensive for my budget. I believe that a malossi cdi will do the job well
