on my speedfight im meant to have just a 3 wire stator that has 8 coils. When i swapped my bottom end it came with a 4 wire stator with 6 coils from a very early speedfight. Could this be causing my ped to misfire, as when running it goes pop pop pop, blows air out the exhaust and dies. Thanks to anyone who can help :)

Depends, are they compatible? How did you connect 4 wires into 3 plugs?

I think that you connected them by colors. Good way to check their target by comparing where they go on both coils.
For me it sounds like shaft position sensor fault. Maybe bell don't fit to this coil?

im going to order a speedy 2 stator off ebay, but will there be a difference between a 50cc stator and a 100cc stator? they look exactly the same
