hi guys, as you can see im new.. I not long ago bought a gilera dna 50cc restricted.

i have taken it to the garage to get derestricted and the guy showed me a plate he took out of the carb, and sorted out the exhaust for me and fitted a sports one.

but i was reading on http://www.taffspeed.co.uk/page41.html that gilera dna also have "two nylon washers in-between the front pulley halves" as a restriction im not sure about it as im not any good with that sort of stuff.

just wondering if it has been full de restricted or still needs those washers out to be sorted.

    thanks if you can help.

the guy in the garage must be a complete wanker if he thinks its de restricted whilst leaving the washer in!. take the tranny case of and have a look behind the front pully, if there is a washer there then it needs to come out

ahh.. ffunny because when i mentioned it to him he said it was a load of rubbish. im going there tomorow and makes sure he sorts it out, otherswise he cant really be charging me for de restricting a bike which isnt really derestricted.

Sounds like the sort of mechanic who would charge you to change the oil on a twostroke :(
