derestricting a variator

    hi, ive got a suzuki ay50 and i am not sure if the variator is derestricted and was wonering how to do it and what to take out. thanks

    open the transmission case, remove the variator there should be a little slip ring spaced between them both - get rid.

    There are 2 washers in it now, 1 in between the belt and the pulley wheel and 1 between the pulley wheel and the nut at the end are these restrictor washers??? thanks

    what year of ay50 have you got ? , is it liquid cooled or air cooled
