    Hello,

I have recently bought a derbi senda xtreme 09, The bike seems to splutter when trying to get into the powerband in first gear. I believe i was a problem with the air/fuel ratio so i took the carb off and cleaned it but it seemed to make no difference. i have ordered a new spark plug to see if that makes a difference. secondly after a good few miles of riding the bike feels down on power in lower rpm's and wants to bog out. I have tried altering the settings on the carb to make it run leaner as i thought it was because it was rich but no change. Could it be the choke is stuck on? Finally the bike has been derestricted and gets 48-52 mph on a flat but is only running a 70's main jet when the standard main jet for the 17.5mm carb is 85. could this be a reason it isn't running correctly?

    many thanks

Yeah that sounds lean to me, they normally run about 89 with a derestricted exhaust. Try riding with a little choke on and see how it changes the way it runs

Check the float height and check the float is shutting off the fuel flow
