While stripping the panels off the derbi to try and trace the problem of my speedo not working I noticed these, is it the normal set up? Notice the black wire bridging the connection Black and white cable not connected to anything Was taped to the loom going to the speedo
Grab yourself a wiring diagram and see what the wires are for. The black loop could be a bypass for the side stand switch/clutch switch, or something like it. The last pic could be something to do with the alarm/immobiliser, seen similar.
