i have got a malossi delta clutch for a 125 gilera runner and need to no how to adjust it can anyone help cheers
equally nah, on the spring retainers there are teeth wich marry to teeth on the clutch shoe (3 of these) strip the clutch and set with your chosen springs on equal tooth settings.. the solid spring mount holds the spring on the back of a shoe, the further from this you go with the spring onto the next shoe the tighter the spring will be = higher takeoff rpm.
there may well be weights also. these will slide around under the shoes and are held in place by the bracing plate bolts (they screw through the plate into the shoe holding the ajustable section down in place and actually bolt into the weights) you want to try and ajust the clutch so the weights are set close to the centre (lighter) then spring it up... the closer the weight is to the pin the higher the rpm the clutch will engage.. you want to keep the weights to the lowest setting (close to the pins) and ajust it with the teeth with the weakest springs if you can... the more weight there is on the outside of the clutch the "heavier" it is meanign it uses more power to do the same job... lightening a clutch will increase the takeoff rpm without using heavier springs. theres less load to hold. take it apart.. look at it and just think of it spinning.. should all make sence after a while
