After realising i have a 18.4mm Weber carb on my NRG and finding jets is a pain.... I've been tld to get a 17.5mm Dell'orto or Motoforce, the question is, what one to go for? the Dell'orto or the Motoforce? what will be better? money isn't an issue.
if moneys no object, you want the best...Dellorto. have you got a 70cc or a 50cc top end ?? if youve got a 70cc i would buy a 21mm carb kit, for 50cc i would go for 17.5mm. its always best to try and find a carb kit that is specific to your bike
Just a 50cc with a Doppler S3R, currently has the Weber 18mm on it and jets are a no go to find, so gonna get a new carb, and give to the scooter garage down the road to set up for me
You reckon that the problem? Pulls away fine, no probs, goes quickly too, then once the clutch has like done its job, it just goes all like quieter and misfires and i have to roll off and back on the throttle to give it some life, then it dies down and repeat. The engine just sounds alot softer from "NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" to "neeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" if that makes any sence :yahoo: EDIT: Tried the BR9ES like you said, still no luck.
Thats either a carb issue or your rollers are too heavy or worn out. Get the delly 17.5mm carb and bang a fresh set of 5g rollers in, should run reasonably well and will be a good basic setup to fine tune from.
Well I'm running 3.7 gram rollers and always have its what my setup liked I had 4.7 grs imm and the bike wouldn't go over 30mph lol
i too think this isnt a mixture screw problem, ive answered your p.m on how to set the mixture screw up for best throttle response....but the mixture screw wont affect top end running.... do as bertie says, as im convinced this is a roller/main jet issue...
Get one off ebay. no point splashing dosh on a new carb when you can get one with the correct jets, needle, slide etc in. the 17.5 should be around 60 mj, 32-34 pj.
