well the speedfight earned its name the speedshite today! after being a pain in the arse on the way to college it decided to not start at all after college, phone was justa bout flat so couldnt ring to find out about my breakdown cover - resulted in a 12 mile + hilly push home! looking at it someones kicked my back panels in and it may have knacked the ignition coil, unsure.

It would turn and turn and turn but would not fire, there is fuel getting to the carb and through it, When i took the air box there seemed to be a vapor pouring out of the carb not sure what that is!

It did attempt to run for a few seconds but died with a bang which led to all of the pretty girls at college looking and laughing ( lucky I'm proper sexy so it doesn't really matter ;) )

Im puzzled frustrated and a little broken any help is much appreciated

    cheers

dosen't seem to be on the out side but not been able to test it yet, our relationship is on hold because I'm ready to solve the problem with a fiver of fuel and a match!

I'd love to say I only pushed it home from college to save fuel because I'm tight fisted and wanted to save petrol but sadly that is not the case

Ok...is it possible the coil has packed up, does it spark? Cdi? Sounds ignition related, the vapour is unburnt petrol.

The vapour is petrol due to it flooding from not firing up.
Take the plug out, put it in the plug cap and rest it on some metal part on the bike and turn it over to see i your coil's working.

Ha ha haa, I suppose you can go down that road, can it take 10-20 thousand dc? Undo your spark plug, hold the plug near the head, press start button, see if it sparks :D if so, is it a nice bright purple/blue spark? Does it spark with every turn of the engine? If so, rule out ignition :D I know it's a bit old Skool , but hey, that just me ;)

The battery might be abit flat from turning it over alot, charge it, clean up your airbox of fuel then try again, if nothing then get a new coil, they're like, a tenner? :)

I'd go for a plug change before a new coil, knackered plugs can not spark well.

    Ordered some bits

New float bowl I didn't crack the current one, promise
    New HT coil(incl ht lead)
    Plug cap
And correct spark plug for my model(gap of 0.6mm according to my manual)

so If I fit all of these and still having a problem that will rule out an ignition problem?

    cheers
