Hi. Does anyone know how much insurance companies charge you if you declare a derestriction on a 50cc? (obviously an estimate as companies will differ) I have just been reading loads off stuff online and its got me pretty shitted up about voiding my insurance.
you might get a bit of silence with this post On my car I declare every mod, and it's treble what it should be. I have no more to say.
if your only 16 on a cbt then legally you have to be restricted that is why they are resrticted in the first place
Im 22 using CBT so I could have a 125 but its taken me six years to convince the mother to let me have even a 50cc. When I get back in to work and can afford to move out I'll up grade but for now I need to be able to go a little faster because I'm sick of practically riding in the gutter at 30mph to let cars past and 20/25mph uphill. I am sure its more dangerous as sub 30mph than having that little extra amount of speed.
In response to the silence regarding this issue which I totally understand people could post with 'I have not done anything to my bike, but if I did and had to declare it would cost £...' (wink wink nod nod and all that lol)
your 22 and u ride a restricted 50cc? hock: im 16 and i ride a 70 with every mod under the sun, ps. insurance company dosnt no that
Yeah I have to ride a 50cc. When I can afford my own place again I'll go to a 125cc. But as I'm currently having to live at home the mothers rules wont allow more power. She is a ward sister (nurse) and gets all freaked out by bikes and doesn't understand that faster can mean safer in some cases.
To be honest at your age i cant see it making a great deal of difference, probably between £20-£50 at the most. Easiest thing to do is phone up or do a quote online.
