hey people, im very confused by the engine in my speedfight, ive never seen it run properly. It used to start splutter then die, ive changed piston, barrel, reedblock, intake, starter motor, kickstart shaft, crank seals, carb, exhaust, head, spark plug, fuel, oil, flywheel and stator. Its really pissing me off now as everyone ive been to have not had an idea whats up with it and ive spent daft money on it. Any ideas please people? It splutters for aabout 5 seconds then air shoots out the exhaust then it dies. PLease help me soon i need it for college :beg: :beg:
Check your engine casing for any small cracks, i had that problem with my old suzuki, a small crack in the engien casing and it wouldnt stay on for very long at all, the best way to check is to put soapy water over any part that looks like a crack, and then turn it over and see if it bubbles, hope this helped.
i agree with matt, sounds like either an air leak or it could be timing related?? is all the wiring on the ignition side ok??
wiring is fine could it be my cdi? it was fine on my old engine but i swapped it for this engine and kept old cdi
