Had a similar problem with my old ped, a Sym Jet 50.
All of a sudden it was fine though. Get a Tricle Charger mate, and plug it in every night, see how the problem goes ;)

Had the same problem on my gilera runner 180sp, turned out to be the alternator, not cheap :(

On my CBR 600, had the same problem, used a trickle charger, had to put it on every 2 days or I'd have a dead battery, turns out it was the rectifier.

I wouldn't think it would be the alternator, but maybe the rectifier, check it as it may be burnt out and need replacing, not sure where it is on your bike though

This happened to me when i rebuilt my bike..
turned out to be the earth wire for the 'alternator'..

its not an alternator, its a stator, and its atached to the right hand side of your crankshaft

Right well basically, if your sitting on the bike, its to the right of you, behind the black cover [liquid cooled on it], undo that cover and youll uncover the magneto etc... to remove this you will need the puller tool, [i've got one so gimmie a shout if your stuck] then its basically just checking everything behind that...
