My cousin’s zip 50 is only going 40mph maybe 45 downhill and it’s got a malossi sports exhaust and a 60 jet. That’s the only mods.

I don't understand why it’s going so slow.

    1) Has it had new rollers and clutch springs?

    2) what size was the original jet?

    3) Malossi exhausts are not made for standard bores <<<ERROR

Get a box of rollers to find the right size

I have changed the rollers with 7 gram rollers. Before there was 5 gram rollers in there. But it is still the same, exactly the same on acceleration and top end speed.
