de-restricted but still slow

    hi, i have a derestricted aerox (removed variator washer) and it was running fine until i had to change the air filter and now its not going as fast top end .......... technigas exhaust, aerox 100 tk carb, home made air filter 90 degree union with foam covering the end......... could somebodyy please help me with this its really bugging me, all comments appreciated

    have you upped the jetting? changed the roller weights to suit the new exhaust?

    if not your bikes running very lean and the rollers are too heavy refit the stock airfilter qucikly or rejet straight away to avoid a lean seize

    thanks for replys gunna put standard airbox on tomorrow and fiddle with jets

    No need to change the jets if it was fine with the airbox-just put the airbox back on.

    If you want a quicker bike then get a decent exhaust mate

    gunna buy new carb now (17.5 dellorto) maybe new sport filter this 100 carbs a bit f#cked i think and my mates got a exhaust i think its a zx cause has a short carbon end can on on it but no markings or stickers :confused:

    ZX would make a big improvement over a techniwnk, and a 17.5mm carb would run alot better too.

    You need a 70 kit too ;)

    ino lol hoping to get a malossi 70 kit after time as havent got enough money at the moment will probably wait until the current 50 gives up though

    aeroxes are kinda nippy even without the 70s if set up right

    fitted my new 17.5 carb but now it revs its boll*cks off without me doing anything ?

    chances are the throttle cable is tight and holding it open, give it as much slack as possible and look down the carb to see how far open the slide is
