I recently posted a video of my scooter on YouTube as I have still not sorted the jetting on my bike, and was looking for some more interesting help then "just go up or down a jet"or" fiddle with air mixture screw" when someone told me to clean my exhaust customers it seemed groggy, this sounds like a viable idea as I've been running m own premix petrol oil mix.was wondering if anyone had hard of this before Check the video if u want bye just typing in lukebeynon into you tube and find my channel
Very much doubt that'd build up that bad. Had a 10,000 mile cylinder kit and had like 1mm carbon in the exhaust port.
what oil do you use? if your using cheap shitty oil then yeah, ive seen exhaust ports nearly closed because of cheap oil. but if you use ttr or whatever its called now (is is called power 1?) well yeah any synthetic oil, should be ok
i just wrote in norwegian didnt i... errrr.... its sythetic castor oil, it smells amazing but costs a lot. its really thick tho, like 75w oil almost
i run it through my oil pump on my suzuki and its fine, you cant mix it with other oil tho, they separate and kinda go lumpy
I run power 1 racing or strawberry two stroke (motocross oil) fully synthetic. But on a Sport kit just use semi synthetic.
ultimately, if you wanna decoke the pipe, remove it from the bike, take off the end can and stick a potato onto the end to make it water tight, tip it upside down and fill with hot water & caustic soda solution (can get crystals from wilkos or asda etc), leave it for a couple of hours checking regularly and it should be ok to clean out with water when done. Leaves it well clean..............
trust me, its not expensive, stuff over here is way overpriced, i guess the awesome wages kinda covers it tho
do you have another exhaust to test on? cleaning exhaust is usually the absolute last thing to do. i thought my exhaust was clogged up too till i found out i had an air leak.
get a blow torch onit, i decoked my suzuki pipe a while back and you could see the carbon being burned off
