these are the metal shavings found in the crankcase scratching the white bit is snapped metal, and i dont know what it is but i think its meant to be a whole ring of metal
on some scoots the clutch bells do blue up a bit....peugeots are prone to it. my speedy bell blued up...but always seemed ok...where as my Runner clutch bell has done much more miles and has never blued
blueing is an obvious sign of wear but its because the speedys dont have as good cooling as piggy motors drill some cooling holes if ur dat boverd
yeah i did drill some...and i wasnt bothered...the speedys in bits now waiting for me to get motivated and fit a piggy in her
i dont mind the clutch being blue, its because somethings wore down on it and ive had metal shavings in the crankcase, and the bikes back wheel is ahrd to move.
problem is ive spent out on the Runner this year...70kit..laser pipe e.t.c so had to delay the seedfight until next year (maybe) But in my defence i did buy a sp125 wireing loom for it
thats not overheating from a clutch point of veiw, the heat discolouration is in the centre which indicates heat is being generated between the clutch bell nd gearbox input shaft (torque drive). whip it off and check the splines are still intact. pull the clutch apart to find out what the metal is.
The same has happend on my clutch bell but it has discoloured all over it, also there is a build up of carbon on the inside of the transmiton casing. The starting acceleration seems slow too. Any ideas what is causing the discoloruing and the carob buil up. The bike has done around 12690km
sounds lyk clutch wear, check and possibly renew the clutch bell and maybe clutch the carbon build up could from the belt both these would explain poor acceleration
