Hi folks, I've only just found this forum & registered. Looks interesting, hopefully there's someone on here as wierd as I am in that they have tuned a Daelim Delfino 100cc for even better acceleration. (the standard scoot's not at all bad & apparently is the most powerful 100 engine *manufacturers claim*). What I'm after is any info/dimensions for an expansion chamber for this motor (does any company actually make one, that would be a lot easier but I can't find one!!!). Mainly 'cause the standard zorst has done it's snapping thing again & I won't pay £150 for a new one to last another 8 months! I understand the basic principles of expansion chamber exhausts but if I'm honest can't be fussed with stripping the (just about run in) engine to find the port heights/open angles etc so I'm just hoping someone has been here before and would be willing to share their findings. I know a Daelim is a strange choice (got it in a PX deal) & my search turned up nothing so I doubt I'll have much luck but if anyone has done literally anything tuningwise to a Delfino (or knows any company making tuning parts for same) I'd love to hear about it. Cheers, Dan.
Put some decent welds on it! :w00t: I doubt anyone can answer your question(s)....most the tuners who have aquired great knowledge aren't willing to giv dimensions and such out... Cheers and good luck man!
It's quite hard to put decent welds on tin foil! To be honest I'd forgotten about this post, got an email saying I had a reply so I thought I'd call back in. I've since decided that, as so many parts are transferrable with little or no mods to fit on the Sym Jet, I'd break the scummy chinese crapper to keep my baby on the road cheaper (now on 48,750 miles with original engine right down to the rings!!!). So it looks like the 'lim will never see the road again despite it's low mileage & zippy motor, talking of which the engine looks like it'll fit the Sym too so when it does finally blow I'll probably shove that in while I rebuild the original lump...
