ding ding 1.5mm plate.... theres an extra 1.5 at bdc aswell as tdc.. the spaceer makes the ports 3mm too high on the bottom edge and the timings on the top are also disturbed
correction is 100....thats the drop and raise. will correct every part of every port tho (malossi ports are pritty shit in general when you actually messure them)

its the 1.5mm spacer NOT a 3mm THEN whatever gasget you would use to attain correct squish.. so no a 2mm gasget wont do. the spacer pluss a malossi gasget is usually close to correwct squish altho the polini gasget set comes with a .3 .4 and .5 gasget
Just to add and save Minor blowing a gasket Buy the correct 1.5mm alloy spacer for the crank.Use this WITH a paper 0.5mm base gasket.It`ll be in the ballpark. Reason I say use the alloy base spacer is because making up the difference with a number of paper gaskets and tightening them down will compress the paper gaskets and result in an incorrect squish or leaks. Spent a lot of money on the crank then dont cut corners trying to save a few bucks on a spacer!.
ye forgot to say why you dont just run loads of paper... i usually build the engine, liquid gasget the spacer to the engine, sling the barrel and head on with no piston or gasget then nip up (doesent have to be tight tight, just nipped up) whip the head and barrel back of, clean the gasget thats escaped and leave it alone for a while.. build as usual.

no, you leave the gasget as is then mod the head and go 1.5mm ether way PLUS the raise on the trop edge to correct the timing of the port opening/closing... this requires head work. OR you use a spacer and mod the bottoms down 3mm plus whatever the correction is on the timings at the top and leave the head well alone... another proven point, andy hears somthing, repeats it badly then claims it as his findings... he needs a fuckin slap for pretewnding to have a clue
