After a fairly long run at full throttle, when i slow down to stop, the clutch lets go and the revs drop very low- it usually cuts out. I'm not sure if this is an idle screw problem - because when i turn it on, it idles fine- it's only after a longish run that the revs will drop very low. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

idle mix most probs.. set it up with the engine hot. choke compensates for it whren cold...

try playing with the contra spring if the revs drop off too soon when decelerating

wind your tickover up a bit
if it still does it, clean the pilot jet out.

im struggling with the same problem mate, i turned my tickover up quite a bit and it improved but only until it got more warm.

is the contra spring the large spring which sits in between the clutch plates, i changed mine when i put the vari kit on, what shall i do with it?

i now think it is the mixture screw as well but i still dont understand it lol

ok, check your choke works correctly and set the idle mix screw to the position the manual states. now get it nice an warm

then set the idle mix to the point it revs highest. this is usually about right. set the idle speed to an rpm that doesent die when you off the throttle at speed an it should be fine..

start from half a turn out from fully in.. might not start but its somwhere to try once warm....

then snap the throttle open then closed quick and if it delays/lags wind it out a little but remember where it is. then fine tune till it runs smooth/doesent bog out and at the point it idles quiest neer this point when left alone...

ok well im going to give that a go, only thing is i am currently waiting for a new starter switch pod because mine has broken, so the throttle isnt together :( real shit time for it to break as well, not happy.

mind you i will give it a go when i get it going again.

by the way, please find out wobbly as yours is same carb, but not same setup.

jet makes fuck all diofference to idle mixture so will only affect starting at full throttle... can run without a jet if you dont rev it atall...
