Dont ask how i managed to hit a pedestrian and completely destroy my ped I will get some pictures up soon of what I did to it :/
Hopefully I just repair and spray a couple of the panels but the seat bucket and seat was in the middle of the road and the bike was on the other
Must admit, this was my first thought. I would be interested to know how you did manage to hit a pedestrian and what's going on about it all?
Truth be told I have more cuts and stuff than he had, he just had a graze on his ankle, don't know how he only got that he flew across the road, and I went to go round a bus as it was pulling in; some lad walked across the crossing with his earphones in and looking the wrong way, i swerved and slammed on but clipped him and it just threw the bike one way and me the other.
Bloody hell, glad you're both ok! Should of seen him though surely, when you see someone at a crossing it's best to still give them enough time to do what ever they could possibly do as some are complete muppets. Get it all back together and what ever then get back out.
Yeah i know, shouldv'e seen him really but because I overtook the bus what was pulling in and then i saw him as i got round the bus I didnt have enough time to stop; and yeah im gona put it all back together, I had a couple of new panels which luckily I hadn't put on yet and i'm just gona sand and spray the other panels, My seat bucket is completely snapped in half though somehow haha.
Ouchh, If there was a bus stop right next to the crossing that is stupid if u ask me, as everyone overtakes buses that pull in.
I take it the crossing had flashing beacons on both sides of the road? And the road was marked by black and White lines? Unfortunately mate, I think this comes down to expeariance, Reading the situation as it develops. If the bus is pulling in to a bus stop, another bus maybe pulling out of it, or pedestrians maybe crossing infront of the bus. There was a crossing near the stop in your case, and it sounds like you are too close to the bus not to see the becons on the crossing. Back when I was a yooof, there was a traffic safety campaign "stay back, lean back!" . Doing this you see more of the road ahead, and naturally slow down, giving you more time to react to anything that may occour. The problem is the pedestrian was on a crossing, if he stepped out from in front of the bus with no crossing, then it's partly his fault, but this time, I'm afraid it would look like the guy could claim against you. ....... (god I sound like my old man!)sorry don't wanna sound like im lecturing! Been a proffessional hgv driver for 18 years, seen it all!
