    hi guys,
i have recently taken my 2010 zip 50 2t to a moped shop to identify, and fix whatever's wrong with it.
just had a call back, its the crank and variator thats the problem. Ive priced these parts up, and for both its around 150 quid. But this shop rang me and said it would be £490 to fix.
this seems absolutely ridiculous for around 3/4 hours work.

Is this price reasonable or......? Am i being ripped off?
    cheers,

ots not cheap but look at the work involved...

remove engine, total strip including splitting casings (may as well do the water pump seals whilst in there) install new crank and rebuld engine with new gaskets and refit. They're a shop with overheads and staff to pay and ultimately make a bit of profit out of doing the work...hence the price
