I phoned a motorcycle shop today to ask how much it is for a tyre to be supplied and fitted to my Bali. I was told it is £67.30. Is this about the right price. The tyre is a 3.50 x 10. It does seem a lot to me. Thanks. Ian

    None.
sounds about right if that includes fitting.
will probably get somebody in a bit saying no that's expensive why the fuck would you pay that but the tyre probably costs £45ish depending on the tyre theyre going to fit, then theres THEIR TIME to fit it, it doesn't take 2 minutes, they have to unbolt this and unbolt that then they have to get the old tyre off, get the new one on, make sure the bead is sealed etc etc etc and then put the wheel back on and refit whatever they've removed to get the wheel off. so theres labour, £67.30 sounds fair.

I have just phones a different place and they quoted me £35 for the tyre, £12 fitting if wheel already off the bike or £20 if wheel on. The other place, if the tyre was about £40, it would be about right. Just seems very expensive. lol. I think I am too used to car tyres and £5 fitting.

Ian everything two wheels is expensive - as for fitting a car tyre for a fiver that's a bloody bargain - surprised the garage is still in business

A tyre shop near us are aslways in competition with someone close by. New tyres are free fitting and used are £5 (cars only)
