Fed up with my aerox engine. If i keep it as it is im going to have to get a new crank, seals and bearings, manifold, reeds, carb, variator, cutch, belt etc as the crank is definatley on its way out and so are the reeds.

So that would cost me lets say a good £500 at least.

If i do a 172 how much would it cost to do, also what would any of you do if you were in my position?

    Darren.

    not another person.

    rough prices

125 engine in decent nick? £150?

    172 kit £200

125 stator wiring cdi etc £35?

    rear wheel £20?

paying the person to weld £30?

    exhaust £25 - £350?

just rebuild or buy another aerox engine and save yourself alot of hassel and time without a bike and stay legal.

i would go the 70 route personally!!

fitting a 172 isnt just about bunging an engine in...theres a lot more to it than that...not to mention re-registering the ped as a scooter...makeing sure the lights etc are upgraded...and then getting it inspected by the DVLA...that is if you want it to be legal :D

its gonna be a bitch to fit. you try to get a piaggio engine into a minarelli chassis.

yeh tis alot of money and legal reasons it wouldnt pay off if i done some harm lol.

welding i can get done free thats about it ha i think ill go 70 way cant wait to get my new crank in and the other parts gonna carry on with it as i am then, 172 is a lot to take on boared plus it would be alot better just to get a gilera runner 125 and then bore kit out without the hasstle of doing all the wireing etc etc thanks for your views people thats why i asked lol..
