hi, could do with a polini corsa port map (minarelli) or another good sport/low end race kit.

use the map from the piaggio.. wont be too desimilar. just devide hight by stroke of a piggy then times by the stroke of your engine, same with the bore diameter..

(4 transfers 30.5mm from top, boost 33 from top, exhaust top at 21mm at 33mm wide at middle. might wanna point out the top of the exhaust port to widen the top for a more effective blowdown)

2.5mm lower back wall port (boost) on such a small stroked engine seems excessive. Thats a shitload of m/s on a relatively revvy engine?

    What does that achieve?

dont forget, the powerband can be razor thin with a well setup auto... need to wind the entire engine up to full revs or nothing mind. but thats the point of an auto right? :confused:arc:

I've never had the luxury of a transmission that allows such narrow power.

I sometimes have to convince engines with soft low end that their something different by using electronically controlled water injection in the pipe and ignition systems that can run 32 to 39deg. with rediculous off throttle fuel delivery until the cadency comes in, then retard to stop pistons turning inside out. :emb:

well as you know, if an engine has free load to hit a certian rpm and stay there, and the timing/pipe/jetting are set for that exact spot it will be more than drivable at full throttle. true a broad powerband is best for any kind of driving other than flat out yet im sure only a few people really care about half throttle power (considdering the ammount of people who use the throttle like an on off switch) if setup right the clutch will slip the correct ammount at half revs to not make the ride to jerky or the engine want to die enuff. narrow powerbands can work with the right setup tho. its all down to application and im sure to somone with a couple bikes (wobbely) full throttle only on a 70 isnt much of a problem. fuck drivability, give me POWER :D

Lol, yeah, i nicknamed a lad in school binary boy because it was constand on/off, 3 hours on my gasgas soon taught him throttle control.

    Hehe...

This is unrelated to the thread but related to your post,

I have a mate that when you ask him a question he thinks about his reply for 2 seconds, then answers.

    His nickname?

    Turbolag!
