Hi all again! Its me the guy with the 09 Honda Lead!

An update to my first post; the bike runs like a dream now we've done the top-end, doesn't use any oil, woo-hoo! Couple hundred spent well I'd say.

But there's a new thing, more quality of life I would say for the little Honda and that is the headlight, is woeful (So is the brake light which decided to go pop on the A1 at 11pm, not ideal. Wasn't too fun being sat beside the A1 waiting for breakdown people.)

But anyway onto the crux of this post since I was trained on cars not bikes (well apart from a few motorx bikes) I want to change out my headlight bulb for something that you know, makes light? I'm thinking about possibly looking to change to an LED bulb, since the fitting for my headlight is quite old now (H5 fitting)

I'm thinking it wont be as easy as open it up, take the old bulb out, bang a new one in and go happy, I've looked around and found a few places of which I can buy a H5 8.5w LED bulb which I'm wondering if anyone has any idea?

For specs for my current light its a H5 Halogen Bulb, 12v/35w candle, the new one is a 8.5w which (if my conversion is right) is about the same comparable wattage in halogen terms?

I use l.e.d in my typhoon with no issues at all, fit one in the rear as well, there not expensive just to try.
