got a 17.5mm delly here which im trying to put on my aerox to replace the 12mm gutner, but on the 12mm carb theres about 5 hoses/ pipes going into it, but on the 17.5mm there are only 2 nipples for the pipes/tubes to go onto :confused:arc:

so was wondering what needs to go where and what needs to get rid off?

    cheers

Should be three spigots on a 17.5 delly.
Vacuum take off for the fuel tap.
    Fuel pipe in.
    Oil feed in.

The other two on the aerox carb are water pipes that act as a carb heater they run from the head into the carb and back to the head.
Just loop the pipes on the head (head to head).

If there are only 2 nipples perhaps the carb you have was designed for a bike that doesn't use a vacuum ?

You have to block the two tubes the comes from the head.
This is for carb heating, and won't be needed on the 17,5, just like Blue dwarf says.

I understand what I need to do with a 'water warming pipes' I just dont get what I need to do with the vacumn pipe, petrol pipe and oil pipe? so if anyone could show me what needs to go where or what I need to buy it would be much appreciated.
    thanks

the nipple in the first pic is for your petrol pipe, the one in the second pic os for your 2 stroke, that carb dosnt have a nipple for the vaccum pipe, so youll have to get rid of the vaccum and just run a petrol tap mate

orite cheers fellas, think il go for the tap option, seems like the easiest lol

    last question though

so am I right in thinking that its just the case of cutting the petrol tube and putting the tap in and just block the vacumn pipe up?

It would be if your vacuum tap is busted and flows all the time without any suction on the vacuum pipe.
You can deliberately make it flow constantly by removeing the filter tube and drilling through the diaphram then you can fit an inline tap.
You can by a manual tap that replaces the vacuum operated one.
Just blank off the vacuum spigot on the tap.

no, thats a fuel pump. to have post reed pipe fittings means a constant suck blow, this KILLS fuel taps, if you fit a fuel tap to this pipe it must ether be with a fuel pump (still not perfect) or wiht a one way vac valve. there are vac valves fiutted to the top of most fuel tanks, can throw one of those in and voiala, 2 way pipe becomes a one way vacumm
