ok i searched and prolly doing it wrong, i need bike for morning, basicly its bogging down like mad hits high revs and takes off, ive stripped carb and changed plug still same, ive upped to the top notch on needle and mix screw is all way out , much better but seems way to lean obviously but the bogging is still there, carb was set and dyno,d origionaly and far as i am aware not been touched since, leaves me with the only other thought is over oiling, is it just a case of taking off the oil pipe and sealing it then switching to premix ? any help appreciated, thnx
sounds more like the rollers are too heavy or the clutch springs are too soft. I'm gonna guess after experience with my 2 stroke go kart (the only thing slower than a suzuki katana ) that if it was over oiling then it would be smoking from the exhaust, and that there wouldn't be major bogging down.
re ok ime with ya there ive opened the variator its a pollini 3red 3 green rollers all as new, only other thing i wwas thinking was could it be a worn needle in the carb, the needle in is a 24 thnx
If it's a problem where the bike struggles to accelerate until about 10-15mph then i'm sure its the clutch springs, as i changed the rollers and it didn't work, but put stiffer springs in and it's running great now  Should work and as Minor says, most problems are transmission.
